An Artist's Eyes

Discovered this gem that will be revealed to the world in April 2022…

Mo and Jo have eyes that look similar on the outside but Mo is an artist; she has “artist’s eyes”. While Jo only sees the ‘blue’ sea, Mo sees “a dazzling duck-egg blue, a swirl of peacocks and the inky, indigo of evening.” Mo just sees everything differently! Eventually Jo learns that with a dash of imagination, creativity and uniqueness, everyone can develop an artist’s perspective – “Just trust your own eyes… and see what they show you.”

The uniqueness of this book is the idea that no two artists see the same things in a similar way – and that it’s ok not to be able to appreciate another artist’s perspective.

A fantastic picture book for an art teacher’s collection or to teach poetry…
