Friends Are Friends, Forever

Grade 4 student who has recently moved from Beijing to Singapore:

I am glad I had just the right book, “𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿” that matched the situation to the T. This book was the perfect balm for my student to soothe her aching heart, and one that made her feel seen. It changed her demeanour completely from someone just trying to figure out the do’s and don’ts in a new land and new school, to a confident young girl sharing her personal stories of making dumplings, of staying awake with cousins, of playing cards and enjoying fireworks and her travels to cousins in Chengdu. Other students benefitted greatly from the conversations on traditional lunar new year customs. Perfect book to read aloud for the Lunar New Year!
