“𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘀” by Ruth Spiro is a different kind of book for Valentine’s Day. Poetry meets informative text as an aunt sends letters to her niece regularly, but each letter is accompanied with an indoor plant. And just like the houseplants, eventually their love for each other grows!

I love how the letters from the aunt rhyme, and they come with a tag with information on the specific plant. The endpapers are equally informative – the illustrations of the plants are paired with the scientific name of the species, its origin, and the kind of light needed for it to thrive.
