“𝗣𝗲𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗿 & 𝗠𝗲” is a picture book about a scab that was caused by a fall on a cobblestone – how perfectly relatable is that for almost every child!

Our protagonist falls face down on a cobblestone and her knee is scraped. It burns a lot and she cries like a baby! Soon it turns into a scab that refuses to go away – it seems like the scab would stay forever and the little girl names the scab “Pepper” after a puppy she never had. Then one morning, Pepper was gone; it was found tucked into the folds of the bedsheet. The little girl drops it among the poppies. Instead of the scab, there remains a shiny smooth skin on her knee, creating memories of the day she fell on the cobblestone and much more…

This is the cutest book ever written and illustrated about the ubiquitous mark of childhood. Perfect for ages 4 and above! Loved it!
