I like snitching the in-house-teen’s library loot. I like library loots that are written in verse. I like verse that addresses dad as “Baba”. I like Babas in novels who decide to migrate for reasons other than to seek refuge… You guessed it – into the first few pages and I love this book!

Nurah’s family moves from Pakistan to the US. She wants to blend in, but stands out because of her accent, floral-print kurtas and the colour of her skin. A great read for any 8+ kid interested in stories that deal with migration.
