The protagonist “Joe” is a differently-abled child who notices that even if he does ‘normal’ things like hanging on a monkey bar or, queuing for an ice-cream, people around him shower him with praise like “Hang in there”, “That kid is inspiring!” James Catchpole and his wife Lucy Catchpole have tenderly highlighted that differently-abled children do not want to be treated differently, their disability is a part of their normal lives and unwanted praise can indeed be confusing!
