Chester needs vegetables to add to his salad, so he goes to the vegetable garden to get some. That’s when he is informed that there is in fact nothing called a ‘vegetable’.

“𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝗡𝗼 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝘀 𝗩𝗲𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀” is a great reminder for adults that there is indeed no produce called ‘vegetables’ – they are either roots, or leaves, or fruits or stalks. This is a fun book to get children thinking about capsicum, kale, broccoli, potatoes, and many other edibles generally categorized as vegetables. Such a good book if the children in your class or at home are learning about plants, fruits, and vegetables.
