Reading the bestseller “𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝘅𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻” this weekend. I highly recommend this to every parent and educator in an age where play-based childhood is being replaced by the phone-based childhood.
The book has several recommendations for healthy social media usage. One of them is to delay the opening of social media accounts till 16, in line with Australia’s recent policy change.
Does your toddler get screentime when you dine you? How much do you share online about your child’s life (or your own)? What about your own urge to check IG on your way to the office? Have you had a heart-to-heart talk with your teen on the boundaries of being online?
If you are an educator, how much time do your students spend online? Do you use a feature where students get locked out of all apps other that the one that you want them to use?
This… book… gets… you… thinking…
